Over 20 years of mission-driven direct clinical work, supervision, program development, and operational management, consistently focused on disrupting the intergenerational transmission of trauma and behavioral health problems that impact marginalized families in particular. My ongoing goal is to utilize my professional and lived experiences to partner at all levels, i.e., with policy makers, service providers, community organizers and advocates, and family members, to improve the lives of children, youth, and adults impacted by behavioral health and/or trauma. |

- Support the CEO, CFO, and management team with strategic planning, change management, analytics, problem solving and implementing daily operations, and consistent messaging to ensure the delivery of comprehensive, effective, and respectful clinical care to over 3000 District residents with serious mental health illness, reflective of our four fold commitment to developing and providing innovative direct clinical care and evidence based practices, training young professionals to provide these services, partnering with universities to provide research into best practices in community mental health, and disseminating information about best practices both locally and nationally
- Develop and implement integrated system of care improvements for community mental health family services and transitional age youth services across all three Community Connections sites
- Collaborate with other agency representatives to ensure continuity of care and to solve problems arising from systemic barriers and/or inconsistencies
- Identify and pursue opportunities for program development, including funding opportunities such as grants, partnerships, innovative projects
- Lead the Family Coaching Project, a collaboration with the DC Department of Behavioral Health (DBH), Child and Family Services Administration (CFSA), Dr. Laurel Kiser, University of Maryland, to provide Family Peer outreach, support and coaching, to help families engage in service and strengthen their support networks
- Implement (as Principle Investigator) the Healing, Empowering, and Recovering Together (HEART) Project as part of building a National Child Traumatic Stress Initiative (NCTSI) Category III, Community Treatment and Services Center in the District to improve early access to integrated high quality behavioral health and trauma specific treatment for children, adolescents and their families who are living with mental illness, addiction, and inter-generational trauma in the District of Columbia (funded by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Department of Health and Human Services)
